İstanbul Anadolu  Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı tarafından hazırlanan iddianamede, sürücü Tarık U.’nun kullandığı  İETT otobüsü ile 30 Aralık 2016 tarihinde  Pendik ilçesi  Mevlana Caddesi üzerinde seyri sırasında, duraktan yolcu alıp hareket ettikten 15 metre sonra seyir yönüne göre taşıt yolunun solundan sağına geçmek isteyen yaya Sude Mete’ye tedbirsizlik ve dikkatsizlik sonucu çarparak ölümüne sebebiyet verdiği anlatıldı.

İddianamede, bilirkişi raporuna göre şüphelinin olayın meydana gelmesinde kusurunun bulunduğu belirtilirken, şüphelinin “Taksirle ölüme neden olma” suçundan 2 yıldan 6 yıla kadar hapisle cezalandırılması istendi.
